The Bible is true and to be interpreted literally.
It is the inerrant word of God, transcribed by man through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. The totality of the Gospel is to be used as the final authority in knowing the nature and commandments of God, so that the believer may be equipped to do the will of God. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
The Godhead is triune in nature...
…being God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit, who exists eternally as one being. (Colossians 1:16-18, Deuteronomy 6:4)
Jesus was born of a virgin as the son of God.
He lived a sinless life. He died on a cross to pay the penalty for sin which separated humankind from God and rose to life on the third day. He ascended into heaven where he intercedes on behalf of the believer. Jesus was the turning point in humanity, giving us the opportunity to have a restored relationship with the Creator. Jesus came with a mission, to seek and save the lost. (We GO on a Jesus Mission to equip the found and find the lost) (Matthew 1:18-25, Luke 19)
The Holy Spirit indwells the believer...
…drawing them into right relationship with God. He convicts the world of sin and equips the believer to know God and grow in spiritual maturity and guides them in truth. We believe that the gifts of the Holy Spirit are actively working in the lives of believers today, empowering us to go on a Jesus mission. (1 Corinthians 12-14, John 16, Acts 1:8)
Sin separates man from God.
As a result of the fall of man, our relationship with the Creator was damaged. All are born sinful, deserving of eternal punishment. No one is innocent. Humanity is in need of restoration with God. (Romans 3:10, Romans 3:23)
Grace is the free gift of God.
We must only believe in Jesus and confess our sins to receive salvation. All who call on the name of the Lord will be saved by grace, through faith because of the finished work on the cross. It is through a restored relationship with God, through Jesus, by the confession of our need for Him that we can spend eternity with Him. The good works we do cannot earn our salvation, but instead should be a response to the grace of God. (Romans 10:9, Romans 3:23-26)
Humanity and marriage were designed by God.
We believe that humankind was created by God, in the image of God, and for a relationship with God. Humans are temporal in our flesh, but eternal in existence. We believe that life begins at conception and that God foreknew each of us before we were formed in our mother’s womb. As created humans, the creator’s original design for marriage has been clearly defined for us in the Bible. Both marriage and sexual relationships are to be between one man and one woman, in which we fulfill specific roles in marriage, in the family structure, and in the church. (Genesis 2:7, 18-25, Psalm 139:13-16, Matthew 19:3-6)
The Church...
…is a vital part of God’s plan for both salvation of the sinner and sanctification of the believer. Through both the local and the global church, believers can grow together in spiritual maturity, to teach the word of God throughout the nations, and to exercise spiritual gifts for the glory of God. Wherever possible, believers should be both engaged in a local church and actively engaged in the mission of Christ. (Acts 2:42-47, Hebrews 10:23-25, 1 Corinthians 12:12-27, Romans 12:4-13)
