Its time for an update!!

I have been in Mexico for just shy of a month now!

Time has flown by! Things here have been going so great. We are so close to starting an espresso service!

A normal week for me looks like this:

Monday – Wednesday I help out with the design at the church, and in the afternoons I do things around the coffee shop. Thursday and Friday are my coffee shop days.

This week has been especially busy!

I started training the baristas! They are doing so good. It has been so fun to play with the espresso machine, and to watch the baristas start to have fun with it. The baristas here are so awesome. I love them. Seriously. They are so kind and encouraging, and also super hilarious. It is such an honor to be part of this team.

In non-coffee related news: I got an apartment!!

Let me start by telling you what apartment things I was praying for:

  • Close to the church
  • Inside of our $4,000MXN / month budget (about $200USD)
  • 2 bedroom

We had been looking all day for an apartment and couldn’t find ANYTHING, and then on the way back to the church, the block right before the church, there was a for rent sign ( close to the church: check. )! We called and it was $3,200MXN / month for a two bedroom ( Inside of our budget: check, 2 bedroom: check). Praise the Lord! We laughed about how we went all over town looking for a place to live when there was one right around the corner the whole time! So now I have an apartment, and a roomie to split rent with! Pretty amazing.

I am actually headed to move into the place RIGHT NOW, so I have to wrap this up. 🙂

I just wanted to say thank you so much for your prayers and your support. Thank you for your encouragement.

Until next time,
