If you hadn’t seen it on social media, Sarah and I had a baby girl!
On Sunday, January 17th I was teaching from 1 Peter and sharing about AJM at a local church in Portland, Oregon, with Sarah sitting in the front row. Unknowingly, she was already in labor! She had experienced some small signs throughout the week that could have been easily mistaken for something else. We had questioned if it was a form of early labor, however, so after church, we quickly went to meet up with our midwife. She confirmed that although it was early, May Victoria was indeed on her way!
Sarah labored like a champion overnight and May was born Monday afternoon, January 18th weighing 7 pounds 6 ounces, at 20″ long. Baby May is incredibly healthy and growing far too fast. As you may suspect, Sarah and I are sleeping substantially less now. I’m told that gets better in about eighteen years? 🙂 Please continue to pray for us as we learn how to adapt to this new lifestyle and begin raising our little girl to live on mission.
We cannot wait to bring her out on the road to meet you all wherever you are serving.
