Emma will be joining other AJM missionaries in Prishtina, Kosovo to minister and share the love of Jesus to the people there.
Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, I grew up in a Christian home where church and service were at the center of our household. I accepted Jesus at the age of 10 and poured my life into AWANAS, youth group, Sunday school, youth camps, church events, and service projects. By the time I was 13 I knew that ministry was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I’ve been serving every Sunday for the last 8 or so years in various ministries but mostly worship and childrens ministry. Most recently, I was working for my home church as our Kids Ministry Assistant. My heart is to see people come to know and love Jesus. Whether that’s a little kid experiencing the Bible for the first time or a college student finally hearing Gods voice, my call is to pour my heart and soul into helping others and showing them the love of Christ.
After going to West Africa as a summer intern with another missionary organization, I knew that I loved missions and wanted to be a missionary. During and after that trip, God was faithful in helping me grow through some fears and anxieties of moving forward toward that dream. I joined AJM with a desire to go where the needs are. I will be joining the missionaries in Kosovo to help spread the gospel to the young people in the city. In Kosovo I will be a part of a team of people who are opening a coffee shop called Newborn Brew in the city of Prishtina. Through this coffee shop we will have the opportunity to minister to the college students of the city and show them the hope of Christ. Our goal is to use the amazing space that God has given us to connect with these students and introduce them to the gospel. I am excited to see God work through our team and our hearts for a country that desperately needs to hear about Jesus.
