Emma Cherry

Missionary to Pristina, Kosovo

Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, I grew up in a Christian home where church and service were at the center of our household. I accepted Jesus at the age of 10 and poured my life into AWANAS, youth group, Sunday school, youth camps, church events, and service projects. By the time I was 13 I knew that ministry was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. My heart is to see people come to know and love Jesus. Whether that’s a little kid experiencing the Bible for the first time or a college student finally hearing Gods voice, my call is to pour my heart and soul into helping others and showing them the love of Christ.

I currently serve in Pristina, Kosovo as a volunteer barista in a coffee shop called Newborn Brew. Newborn was founded by Jordan and Jenny Silva as a place to serve the students of the city and create a safe space for them to hear the gospel and feel loved. My heart is to meet and connect with students at the coffee shop and share the hope of Jesus with them. In a culture where hopelessness evident, we share the Gospel with students with the hope that God will make His name known and transform the hearts of the young people in the city. Day to day I serve coffee, bake treats for the coffee shop, serve my fellow teammates, and do life with the students that I meet. Our prayer is that everyone who walks into Newborn will feel comfortable to share, ask questions, and spend their time in a place that truly loves and cares for them.
