Kacia will be going to Prishtina, Kosovo to serve alongside fellow AJM missionaries.
I was born in a Christian family but didn’t have my own relationship with Christ until I was 21. Before my own encounter with Jesus I struggled with disordered eating and a negative body image for over 8 years. I was broken, trying to fit in with the world, and looking for love in all the wrong places. Since that day in the desert I have been set free from lies, chains have been broken, and I’ve found life in the sweetness of freedom only found in Jesus.
I believe that the Lord takes what the enemy meant for evil and turns it for good & His glory. With the things I’ve been through it’s been put on my heart to help girls & young women in similar situations or even prevent them from even happening by loving on them the way Jesus would. I try to do this everywhere I go but would love to share it on a bigger level one day.
Moving to Kosovo will be my first overseas mission experience! However you can be a missionary anywhere you go! Living in a small town my whole life I’ve had many opportunities to serve in different ways because I’ve been able to get to know the people in my community. Things like participating in one churches annual “Give Away”, or another’s nursery care or driving friends to Bible study.
Currently I am serving my community as a barista while growing relationships with my coworkers and customers. In Kosovo I plan to do something very similar as I’ve been doing here in Montana— I want to cultivate relationships while getting to know Jesus & making Him known.
