God fills my house

I wish that I could adequately describe to you what life is like in my home. Every week it changes. Depending on the needs of those in my home often determines what I can be involved with. I cannot tell you how many times I have changed plans because the need in the moment was too great to pass up.

These past 7 months have opened doors to more people in and out of my home than I ever would have imagined. It is a balancing act of choosing joy amidst suffering and sorrow. Sometimes the sorrow is my own but more often than not, God asks me to enter the pain and burdens of others and learn how to be a comforting, strong, deliverer of His hope and truth.

I learned quickly that I needed to have plenty of food and snacks on hand. I needed more fidgets, toys, coloring pages and games. School supplies were also in demand and Kleenex boxes. When I prayed for God to provide people to love and minister to I had no idea that He was going to bring them into my home! Some days my home bursts at the seams and I pray for Him to bless the food and do a miracle to stretch it out. I have learned how to cook bigger meals. Other days I am amazed by the grace He gives me when unexpected things come up and I have to change everything. Miracles happen as God shows up in beautiful ways no matter who is here.

More than that, hearts are being touched by a great, mighty, and loving God! I have many things on my heart to continue to do in my home as well as for our nation. Whether I only make it to my kitchen and living room or get to travel across the United States, I am grateful for hope amidst the suffering of every person God brings into my life. It is a privilege to be a part of their lives no matter how long that may be.

Meanwhile, I continue to write, edit, pray, plan and help execute those plans, and serve with other amazing people with A Jesus Mission. Life is full. Life is beautiful amidst suffering. Your prayers and support mean the world to me and my family, as well as to all of the others who join us. Thank you!
