“Our family arrived in Spain January 2015. We spent one year in Mallorca and then came to live in Madrid, which was always the place God was directing us to. Since October 2017 we have been church planting in the city of Madrid. The name of the church is RAICES MADRID. We have weekly Sunday morning services, Wednesday night Bible study, Thursday night evangelism in SOL, and Friday night dinner parties to connect with people outside of church. We are focused on teaching the Bible, discipling the people, and loving the people and the city.” -Esteban
Esteban went to a Christian elementary school from kindergarten to sixth grade. Though it was an amazing experience where he learned about the Bible and biblical values, he never knew Jesus as his Savior. From middle school until he was 21 years old, Esteban wandered through a life of drug and alcohol abuse until he found himself broken-hearted, depressed, and disappointed at the trajectory of his life. At age 21 Esteban truly gave his life to Jesus, left his home in San Diego Ca, and found himself on a mission trip to NYC shortly after September 11, 2001. Esteban has been serving God ever since that trip.
Since 2001 Esteban has been serving in the local church and on short term mission trips. From NYC, to Mexico, Spain, Morocco, and Hungary. Tifiny has been involved in missions since youth group and throughout her young adult life. She has served locally in the USA, as well as abroad in Ecuador and Ghana. Before becoming full time missionaries Esteban served in their home church teaching the Bible to kids, youth, new believers, Wednesday Night Service, and a homegroup. Esteban also led the Coffee Bar ministry and ushers ministry. Tifiny was the children’s director at their home church. Prior to that she served as director of the CRU for the Campus Crusade for Christ group on her university campus.
